Creamy Oatmeal Bowl

This is my husband’s favorite go-to morning meal.  If he’s in a rush, I send it with him in a small tupperware bowl with a lid.

3/4 cup old fashion oats

(Sometimes I add 1/3 cup cooked Quinoa if I have it available.  Quinoa is widely thought to be a grain, but it’s actually a seed and is considered to be a complete protein.)

water (to barely cover oats in bowl)

1/3-1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

2-3 Tbsp. natural peanut or other nut butter

small handful of raisins (about 1/4 cup) or other dried or fresh fruit

1-3 Tbsp. agave or honey

(You can cook your oats on the stove or use the microwave.)

Add oats to a microwave safe bowl.  Add water to barely cover.  Micro for 1 minute.  Add rest of the ingredients and stir well.
